Be prepared for the photoshoot. Prior to the shoot select outfits that look good in photographs. Some outfits photograph better than others.

Check current magazines for fashionable looks for your photoshoot.

Select a professional fashion photographer for your photoshoot.

Ask you photographer which colors work best for the photographs.

Practice posing in front of a mirror. Practice smiling (not too toothy).

When posing for photos, actually talk to the camera (without moving mouth). Say and think of great things.

Have test snapshots taken in the outfits that you chose for your photo shoot at home by a family member or friend. This will give you an idea of how you will look in an outfit.

A professional photo shoot or test shoot costs may range between $300 - $500.

It is advisable to use a professional make-up artist and stylist for your photoshoot. One person may be both artist and stylist.

Check garments for tags. Tags should never be shown.

Your personal glasses should not be worn during a photo shoot or fashion show. Contacts may be worn.

Eyebrows should be arched.

False eyelashes may be worn.
